Firefighters responded to a structure fire at the 2300 block of N.E. 209th St. in Ridgefield at about 5:55 p.m. on Saturday. It’s unknown if anyone was injured.

As of 6:20 p.m., crews were using water tender trucks to transport water to the scene, according to radio scanner chatter.

At least eight firetrucks had responded to the fire as of 6 p.m.

Shannon Robertson Ivie said she was driving by the fire, and stopped to see the structure on fire. Neighbors told her it was a truck shop that caught fire.

“We had to get out of the way to make room for more tenders, firetrucks and ambulances arriving so we left the area,” she said. “A good portion of the street was filled with trucks then law enforcement started arriving to clear traffic.”
